Ethan is a popular Buddhist that graduated from the University of Malaysia with honors in 1975, with a Bachelor degree in Agricultural Science. Ethan is a Malaysian Chinese and an ordained monk from a Buddhist temple. He was dedicated his whole life to Buddhist teachings and philosophies. With even bigger emphasis on mediation, specifically Vipassana Mediation.
Learning from many teachers throughout India, China and Malaysia as well as Thailand and Burma, limited not only to Venerable Panditabhisma of the infamous Mahasi Buddhist Mediatation Centre in Rangoon.
Ethan originally started teaching meditation at the Santasirka Hermitage in Johor in 1984. Ethan has held a ton of retreats in and throughout the country. Beginning throughout 1991 and throughout many foreign countries.
Since teaching he has been to New Zealand, Hong Kong, Thailand, United States, Europe and even Brazil.
