How do practitioners relate to falling in love or heartbreak when we're supposed to practice non-attachment? The three poisons--passionate clinging, aggression, and ignorance--seem most overwhelming when it comes to intimacy. Join us for this talk about applying Buddhist principles to romantic love.

Susan Piver is the New York Times bestselling author of The Hard Questions: 100 Essential Questions to Ask Before You Say “I Do” and the new book, How Not to Be Afraid of Your Own Life, which offers insight and information from Buddhism about conquering the fears that hold you back. Piver is a graduate of a Buddhist seminary and and authorized meditation instructor in the Shambhala Buddhist lineage.

She is a marketing specialist who provides consulting services to companies wishing to reach the consumer interested in spirituality and wellness.

Piver is a frequent contributor to Body and Soul magazine and The Shambhala Sun and is regularly featured in the media, including appearances on Oprah, the Today show, CNN, and in USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, Time, Money, and others.
