Attention Artists, Writers, Performers, Musicians!! The ID Project Arts is hosting its first day-long retreat to contribute our community's creative energy to the "Back to the Sack" initiative. This is a unique opportunity to become a co-creator of a plastic bag free New York City by practicing your art. The morning will include meditation and practice sessions in specific artistic disciplines, and in the afternoon we will reconvene for a joint collaboration and project.

Some items that might be useful to bring (only if you have them):
plastic or reusable bags, sidewalk chalk, paper and drawing utensils, and masking tape.

Schedule:
10-10:10am intros/settling in
10:10-10:35 meditation session
10:40-11:10 Intro to "What is a Mandala?"
-using the Mandala form as our interdependent project guide/map
11:15-11:45 Writing Group
11:45-12:15 Visual Arts
12:15-12:45 Knitting
12:45-1:15 Theater
1:15-1:45 AV/Media
1:45-3 Lunch Break
3-4 structured brainstorming
4-6 building our mandala, working with Integral Activism
